A Legacy Rooted
in Restoration
As a fifth-generation homestead farm, we hold a deep and enduring connection to the land at Redbird Creek. Our story is one of restoration, guided by a mission to reclaim a long-neglected heritage. All had been abandoned for 26 years, but unlooked for, new life for the farm sprang on it's own from the untended fields. Wild native American Elderberries had sprouted, spread, and flourished in the long-fallow ground.
Out from deterioration came hope! We have carried that promise forward, tending and cultivating the wild Elderberry bushes so they can thrive in the same rich soil that nourished family for nearly a century.
We are dedicated to careful stewardship of what Nature has given us, preserving history, and ensuring that every ounce of Elderberry syrup we craft carries the spirit and goodness of the flourishing earth in this special place.

Renewing Landscapes
Our commitment at Redbird Creek goes beyond cultivation. We focus on restoration and natural balance. We strive to remove highly destructive non-native and invasive plant species like Callery Pear, Tree of Heaven, and Chinese Privet, which have wrought ecological havoc throughout the Cumberland Plateau, our farm, and all of southern Appalachia. We work to foster an environment that allows diverse native plants to thrive. Providing renewed natural balance in turn allows our elderberry bushes to flourish, all while healing the soil and place we call home. Every harvest is a reflection of a land renewed and brought back to vitality through dedicated care.
